Later the satiety of the all the group members was recorded after 3 hours. The blood sample was taken to check the blood sugar and insulin levels. All the groups were given same lunch after the test.
The result based on the sample test provides that the group which consumes oatmeals has very few cravings till afternoon and consumed 31% fewer calories for lunch. Oatmeal in breakfast act as a miraculous meal for the people with excess weight as it reduce around 50% of calorie consumption in the lunch.
The group who has cornflake become hungry in just after 3 hours for the breakfast and same experience was recorded for the group which has only water for breakfast. Unlike cornflakes, oatmeal has any beneficial elements which increases blood glucose level and which makes it stays in the stomach for a longer time.
Many other studies also supported the fact that oatmeal is one of the most beneficial food items for breakfast and it helps in weight loss. It cut down the calorie intake by 31-50% and has a long-lasting effect on the body.
