10 Avocado Masks That Prevent Hair Loss

Why are we losing hair? There is one main reason for that, it is a vitamin deficiency.

Avocado is a very healthy plant, which can benefit us a lot. It is rich in vitamins B and E.

Vitamin B is necessary for hair growth and vitamin E works on repairing damage on the scalp. Various uses of avocado can improve hair quality and thickness.

1. Avocado Fruit Mask

For this mask you will need:

  • 1 half of ripe banana
  • few pieces of cantaloupe
  • few spoons of yogurt
  • half of 1 ripe avocado

Mash all ingredients in a bowl with a fork. In another bowl beat a whole egg until it is completely mixed. Add 3 tbsp. milk and 3 tbsp. honey to the egg and then stir all together.

Add egg mixture to banana mixture and mix everything in a bowl or blend it in a blender. If you suffer from severe hair damage, add vitamin E capsule into this mixture. Apply this mask all over your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and let the mask sit up to 30 minutes. Rinse with water.

2. Avocado Conditioner

Make a paste from avocado with water and apply it to your hair. Prior to applying, wash your hair with shampoo then apply it and leave for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Your hair will be softer and more elastic. Avocado’s high fat content will stop breakage of your and it will be less dry.

3. Avocado Mask

This mask is excellent for much damaged hair. Mix one chopped avocado with one egg yolk. Add water and stir into a paste. Apply this to damp hair and massage into the hair and scalp. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

4. Avocado Oat Mask

For this mask you will need one avocado, mashed into paste and ¼ cup of steel-cut or rolled oats. Mix the ingredients and add olive oil. Add some more oil if your hair is very dry. Also add 1 cup of milk and stir everything together. Apply the mixture to your hair, leave it for 30 minutes and rinse with water.

5. Detangling Avocado Conditioner

Fill your blender with ¼ cup of olive oil, ½ cup of shea butter, 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar and one avocado sliced into pieces. Blend all together until it’s smooth, then apply to your hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with cold water.

6. Lemon Avocado Mask

Cut avocado into pieces and mash it, Add 1 egg and mix it good. Add 1 or 2 tbsp. of lemon juice and stir all together. Wet your hair and dry it with towel just to take excessive water out and to stop the dripping. Apply then the mask onto your hair starting from the roots until you reach ends of your hair. Let the mask sit for half an hour and then rinse it with water. After rinsing, wash your hair with shampoo and follow with conditioner, as usual.

7. Grapefruit Avocado Mask

Blend 2 avocados, 1 egg and 2 tsp grapeseed oil and blend until smooth. Apply to dry, detangled hair and wash off with cold water.

8. Olive Oil Avocado Mask

Mix: 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp. of honey, and 1 tbsp. of extra-virgin olive oil in a bowl. Then mash an avocado with a fork. While you are in the shower, apply this mask to your ends and then all over your hair. Leave it for 20 minutes, rinse it out, shampoo your hair and rinse again.

9. Avocado Coconut Mask

Mix ½ ripe avocado, ¼ whole milk and 1 tbsp. coconut oil until you get a smooth paste. Apply to your hair from ends to roots and cover your hair with a shower cap. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes and wash with cold water.

10. Avocado Aloe Mask

Put 1 half of banana, 1 half of avocado, 2 tbsp. olive oil, and ¼ cup Aloe Vera in a blender. Blend it until you get a creamy paste. Apply to the whole of your hair while massaging your scalp. Cover it with a shower cap. Wrap a hot towel around your head and wait for 30 minutes. Wash your hair with cold water.
