• Quick Tips to Boost Your Metabolism

There’s quite a few people who would give a lot to increase their metabolism.  Me? I’ve got such a high metabolism level that it’s unbelievable.   Ok enough making you ladies upset.  Having a high level of metabolism enables one to maintain burn fat and lose weight fast with the least amount of activity.   Ever wonder why your neighbour eats Burgers every day but still has the body frame of a swimmer?

There are quite a few factors that affect the metabolism of a person.
    1) The amount of muscle tissue in the body
    2) Frequency of meals one consumes.
    3) Genetics: What’s the family history like.
    4) Stress levels: Do you stress out alot? Do you take steps to reduce stress? 5) Personal diet and activity levels.   Do you have a healthy diet plan to provent obesity?

Metabolism slows down most often due to the following:  loss of muscle due to very little physical activity, the tendency of the body to cannibalize its own tissue because of there not being enough food energy to sustain it, and the natural decrease of physical activity that comes aging.

Here are several ways to fire up one’s metabolism:

    1. Build up on body mass. It is only natural that metabolism decreases along with age, but it is possible to counter the effects. The amount of muscle a person has goes hand and hand with the ability to burn calories and lose fat.   Obviously proper excercise is essential.  Build that strength and resistance by working out about 3-4 times a week.   Even if you don’t do massive calorie eating excercises,  simple tasks like dog walking and using the stairs instead of the elevator can effectively shed calories.  Here’s the key:   Match the amount of eating to the amount of your activity.

Here are some guidelines in getting the right exercise:

    For strength training
*Increase the  reps of a particular exercises.
    *Add the level of resistance
*If possible, utilize advance exercise techniques

    For cardiovascular training
    *Insert intervals between exercises
    *Cross-train. Combine exercises

    2. Eat breakfast. A lot of people are ignoring the fact that As the old saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Here’s a fact that may suprise you: The ones who eat breakfast are actually thinner than those who do not.

    3. Avoid sugar. Sugar is what enables the body to store more and more fat. Execerise 2-3 times a week is usually sufficient to stabilize blood sugar.

    4. Eat spicy foods.
Yes! That’s right! Those hot peppers can increase metabolism!

    5. Sleep more. According to research,  it is riskier for people who do not get enough sleep to gain weight.  Muscles are regenerated during the last couple of hours of sleep.

    6. Increase water intake.  Water flushes out those nasty toxins that are produced when your body burns fat.

    7. Eat smaller meals. Try consuming 4 to 6 small meals that are timed 2 1/2 to 3 hours apart instead of eating 2 or 3 large meals.

    8. Don’t skip meals. You may think that skipping leads to a loss of weight. But it does not - it actually slows down metabolism.

    9. As stated elsewhere, get ride of stress . Don’t let every little thing (or big thing) stress you out. Managing stress is very important to boost your metabolism.

    10.  Load up on that green tea. If you’re addicted to coffee, it can indeed be used as a coffee substitute.  Tea  stimulates metabolism  and lacks the bad  side effects when too much is consumed.

    11. Include more energy foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, beans and whole grains.

Remember eating right and working out is more than a passing fad - it’s  a way of life.
